| Seamless |
| To wear under T-shirts and other body-conscious tops. Choices include full-cup with or without underwires and lightweight moulded-cup styles with underwires. The new microfibers offer the smoothest look. Nude shades don't show through white clothing. |
| Contour |
| Have either a thin lining or moulded cups to prevent the outline of the nipples from showing through clothes. The lining can even out a small bustline (and sometimes disguise the fact that one breast is slightly larger than the other--a common problem). For some women, this serves as an everyday bra. |
| T-back or Racerback |
| To wear under sleeveless tops so straps won't show. With this style, straps never fall down. |
| Seamed |
| Shape, sculpt, and lift better than seamless bras. Bra experts recommend having at least one seamed bra in each of the three standard shades (white or ivory, black, and nude). Tip: buy mulitples of a stlye that fits well because, like your favorite lipshade, it could be discontinued without warning. |
| Convertible Straps |
| To wear with strapless, spaghetti-strap, wide-boatneck, and halter-top garments. Removable straps can be attached in a variety of ways--including halter-style, crisscrossed in back, and single strap--to accomodate a wide range of necklines. Tip: For greater support, try a strapless bustier. |
| Wireless or Soft Cup |
| Structure comes from seams and fabric type. Stronger fabrics make good SPORTS BRAS. Test support by jumping, bending, and stretching before purchase. |
